I am a 76-year-old man recently diagnosed with gleason 8 prostate cancer and was put on Lupron on Feb 28th of this year. I was recently diagnosed with osteopenia. I know soon they are going to want to put me on drugs for my bones. What I would like to know is can I turn this around naturally or can I try to turn it around when I quit the Lupron and bone medication and get my testosterone back (hopefully)? I have no other health issues and I have been working out with weights most of my life. I have also tried to eat healthy most of my life. I have watched all your videos. I had some issue with MBP. Years ago I had a test that showed I had a reaction to casein. I tried MBP anyway and it made my nose stuffy. Not deadly, but annoying especially at night. Just wondering if lactoferrin would do the same thing. Any experience in this?
What should you Not do with a compression fracture in Lumbar spine.??
My iron levels were normal but ferritin was low so doctor put me on iron and I felt better. Why would this be if ferritin isn’t the problem?
He said iron can make you feel better for a while as it can raise hemoglobin. There’s also active vs not active ferritin and testing and getting a clear picture I think is complicated they’ve said.
Everything has a consequence, I have osteoporosis, I have been on a drug that you mentioned. Took 20 years ago. I have not used any medication in 15 years. I don’t have a lot of faith in the process.

I am 54 years old and my DXA scan results show lumbar spine t-score -4.6 z score = -3.6, my left Hip (Femoral Neck ) T-Score=-3.2 z score = -2.2, My Rheumatologist recommended Romosozumab(Evenity)... I know nothing about this drug but have done some research and the side effects appear to be horrible. I was wondering if anyone has any imput. My current height is 5 ft 1" and I weight 154lbs, so a little overweight. I do work out on the eliptical machine for 25 mintues 4 times a week, I use 4 lb dumb bells for weight training and I do pilates. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I took a combination birth control pill for 15 years and got breast cancer. My grandmother was given estrogen replacement to help her with menopausal symptoms and she got ovarian cancer. Excess estrogen causes female cancers and no one can tell me differently. We are supposed to go through “the change” of life. Yes, it sucks. Hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, mood swings, etc. However, it is something we go through. These symptoms do dissipate with time. We reach a “new normal”. Trust me..chemo, radiation, mastectomy, hysterectomy, reconstructive surgeries, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy…it’s all a hell of a lot worse than dealing with menopausal symptoms! All these doctors now saying hormone replacement therapy is safe..just wait. Same as they’re now saying old studies were wrong, 20 years from now, they’ll be saying we were wrong again. As for our bones, calcium, vitamin D, and lift weights! Go walking, do jumping jacks, lunges. Those exercises are best thing to prevent bone loss and help with menopause weight gain too!

Some quite helpful information. However, very few people in these samples are going to be able to do anything approaching a chin up -- even a few inches of elevation from a hang. Your illustration pictures show some pretty fit looking young women.
Doug get your patients to buy $100 in-house rebounders and bounce for a few minute where and there. So good for bone health and lymphatic and immunity and more. The bounce is critical For bone health!! 🦴
